San Juan Francisco Peña Sr.

San Juan F. Peña Sr., 67, of Leesville, Texas went home to be with his Heavenly Father on September 23, 2021. San Juan was born on April 22, 1954, in Smiley, Texas to Francisco and Magdalena (Gonzales) Peña who precede him in death.

San Juan is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dora (Cano) Peña; children, San Juan Peña, Jr. (Tina), Joseph Russell Peña (Nadia), San Juan Francisco Peña III (Carolyn Hopkins), and his only daughter, Desiree Michele Peña; grandchildren, Valen Leija, Cruz Leija, Destiny Peña, Mathayus Peña, Chloe Peña, and Ian Peña; great-grandchildren, Joseph Lee Peña, Jacob Rosales, and Aria Rosales; siblings, Maria Camarrillo (Pete), Ramon Peña, Dalia Martinez (George), Roy Peña, Sr., and Molly Stout (Jeff); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and many friends.

Visitation with the family was held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the Rosary Vigil at 6 p.m., at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas.

The Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nixon. Interment followed at Leesville Latin American Cemetery.
