Schools close in response to Winter storm

Gonzales County School districts have closed in response to severe weather conditions. Studentswere already off on Monday, Feb. 15, for President's Day in all three districts.

In Waelder Independent School District, campuses will remain closed Tuesday, Feb. 16 and Wednesday, Feb. 17. The district will be providing updates for Thursday, Feb. 18. Friday, Feb. 19, students were already set to have the day off for the stock show.

In Gonzales Independent School district, campuses will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16. The district will be providing updates Tuesday, regarding the decision to open on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Nixon-Smiley Consolidated Independent School District will also be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The district will be releasing informatin on Tuesday regarding its decision to open on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
