SHINER — Shiner Beer has done it again.
Starting this Saturday, the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner has announced its introduction of Shiner Saturdays — a day-long celebration designed to bring people together to celebrate what all Texans know and love: good barbecue, beer and country music.
The celebration kicks off at noon on Saturday, June 15, at the Spoetzl Brewery grounds. The event includes barbecue from the awarding cookers at The Salt Lick, live music from a country band and a live disc jockey spinning tunes in between and after sets of the country band. In addition, the brewery is expanding its tour schedule, with tours scheduled to start every 20 minutes and lasting until 4 p.m. Of course, there will be a large sampling of all the old Shiner favorites and new seasonal products.
The live music starts at 12:30 p.m. with Croy and the Boys playing until 2 p.m. After the first set, DJ Vinyl Ranch will spin tunes from 2 to 2:30 p.m., with Croy and the Boys returning for their final set from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Following the live music, DJ Vinyl Ranch will play until the event closes at 5 p.m.
Tickets for the event are $25 in advance ($30 at the gate) for everyone 18 and older. Everyone over 21 years old will receive a commemorative Shiner glass. Tickets for everyone under 18 are $10. Family passes for $55 are available, and they include two adult tickets and two under 18 tickets. Tickets are available at the Eventbrite website.
Parking is available near the Spoetzl Brewery which is located at 603 E. Brewery in Shiner, Texas.
The next Shiner Saturdays event will be held on Saturday, July 13 with Aaron McDonnell the live headliner.
