Sidney Ray Wynne

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, Sidney Ray Wynne of Nixon, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Sidney was born on May 1, 1936, to  Oliver and Vernice Sewell Wynne in Columbia County, Arkansas.

Sidney will be dearly missed by his daughter Kim Pruski married to Frank Pruski of La Vernia, and daughter in law  Ashley Wynne of Nixon; grandchildren, Nathan and Julie Pruski of Spring, Krista and Matthew Gorzell of Poth, Craig and Whitney Pruski of Stockdale, Cullen and Jaycie Pruski of Nixon, Seth Ray and Amanda Wynne of Nixon, and Jax Trip Wynne of Nixon; great-grandchildren, Michael Pruski, Parker Pruski, Matthew Gorzell Jr., Margaret Gorzell, Claire Gorzell, Henry Pruski, Case Pruski and one on the way; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sidney was preceded in death by his parents; wife Virginia Wynne; son Dirk Ray Wynne; siblings Billy Thomas Wynne, Mildred Hall and Toy Lou Moore.

Sidney was a devout Christian belonging to the Nixon Methodist Church in Nixon, Texas. He was a rancher and served his country in the US Army. Sidney loved to spend time with all his family. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held on May 18, 2024, 10:00am, at Nixon Methodist Church in Nixon, Texas.
