Sisters on the Fly have a wonderful time in Gonzales

Posted

Dear Editor,

What a wonderful week the Sisters on the Fly had in Gonzales! Your warm and friendly town was apparent from the time we rolled into town and were greeted with the streets lined with WELCOME signs! Then, the accommodations at J.B. Wells were just GREAT for our over 600 members from all over the nation. J.B. Wells and the staff are an incredible jewel in your city.

Everywhere we shopped and dined, we were welcomed and received warm greetings! The Come and Take It Celebration was a wonderful week for us to experience! The history of Texas is alive and meaningful with your museum, the walking and driving tours, and, of course, with the celebration. Texans in attendance were remind of our history and the hundreds that came from out of state, were enlightened about the proud history of our great state.

The parade was fantastic — our hats off to the parade organizers and committee, as well as all the many participants!

People thanked US for coming, when we were the ones grateful for such a great place to hold our 20th anniversary celebration! The spirit of the city and her people are alive with a “can-do” attitude. Gonzales has certainly made a lasting impression on each of us.

Thank you each and every one.
