Street closures, town square use to be considered by Gonzales council

Several agenda items involving upcoming events will be voted on at the Gonzales City Council meeting Oct. 8.
Council will vote closing the 400 block of Saint Paul St. for a First United Methodist Church “5th quarter event” on Oct. 25, authorizing Gonzales Main Street to use Confederate Square for its annual Happy Fall Y’all event on Oct. 26 and allowing Santa’s Market and the annual Lighted Christmas Parade to use Confederate Square as well as permitting the sale and consumption of alcohol for the event on Dec. 7.
Gonzales City Council meets at 6 p.m., Oct. 10 at the Gonzales Municipal Building.
