Thompsonville Cemetery Homecoming canceled
The 71st Thompsonville Cemetery Annual Homecoming scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2020 has been canceled due to concerns related to COVID-19.
“No one saw this coming with 2020,” the Cemetery Association Board wrote in a statement. “The board has, with regret, voted to cancel plans for Homecoming this year due to COVID and the related risks. We are hoping to be back on track for 2021. In 71 years, this will be the first year to ever have to cancel.”
“We will miss seeing you all! Although we will not be gathering for a reunion, our maintenance and upkeep costs for the cemetery and buildings continue. Your financial support is always appreciated. All donations are tax deductible and use for maintenance and improvements of the cemetery and TCA property.
