UIL sports resume Saturday with basketball and soccer

As roads and fields begin to thaw out. Gonzales High School will slowly get back on track with its UIL sports competitions with three events on the road Saturday, Feb. 20:
• The boys basketball team has a Bi-District playoff game against Boerne starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Northside Independent School District sports complex, 8400 N. Loop 1604 E in San Antonio.
Ticket costs for adults are $5, students are $3, and the gate opens at 1:30 p.m. The game is set to begin at 2 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance at https://nisd.net/athletics/tickets. Once you click the link, it will take you to the district's ticket page. Click the "View events by school" link and click the "PLAYOFFS" option. Click the "Get Tickets" button to purchase tickets.
Each spectator will have to fill out a health screening to show with their online ticket the day of the game.
• Soccer: The boys and girls teams will travel to Rockport-Fulton for a varsity-only double-headers starting with the girls at 1:30 p.m.
