UPDATED: Missing Gonzales child located

As of 3:05 p.m. on Friday, April 9, the Inquirer spoke with Gonzales Police Department Lieutenant Jason Montoya who said that 12-year-old Aaron McBeth of Gonzales had been located, with additional information forthcoming. 

An Amber Alert was issued Friday, April 9 for 12-year-old Aaron McBeth of Gonzales. 

According to the alert, McBeth was last seen in the 400 block of Village Drive in Gonzales, Texas around 5 a.m. He was wearing a gray Iron Man shirt, blue jeans, black shoes with a stripe on the side, and a dark blue baseball cap. McBeth has blonde hair, brown eyes, weighs 85 lbs and is 4'10".

He is suspected to be with 32-year-old Sylvia Ashley Garcia. Garcia has brown hair and brown eyes, weighs approximately 150 lbs and is approximately 5'2".

A press release from the Gonzales Police Department advises that Garcia is the boy's biological mother, whose rights have been legally terminated. The Inquirer was told that the she may be driving a 2015 red Toyota Rav 4 by the police department, but it has come to light that the vehicle is actually a 2015 Nissan Murano. It is believed that the missing child and Garcia may be in the Travis County or Bastrop County area.
