Lady Apaches take on SA Brooks to conclude first half of district play

The Lady Apaches knocked off Poteet last Friday at home for their first District 30-4A win of the season. Gonzales then traveled to Pleasanton to face the Eagles, losing (12-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-19). Gonzales hosts San Antonio Brooks Academy on Friday, before a scheduled bye on Tuesday. Friday’s game starts at 6 p.m.

Nixon-Smiley loses first two district games

Nixon-Smiley took on Yoakum during homecoming week last Friday, losing (25-19, 25-16, 25-23). They then hosted Stockdale on Tuesday, losing (25-13, 23-25, 25-19, 25-19). The Lady Mustangs (0-2) travel to Luling (0-2) on Friday before hosting Karnes City on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Luling in search of first district win

The Luling Lady Eagles lost at home against Poth last Friday before losing in three sets to Karnes City. They host Nixon-Smiley this Friday, then host Yoakum next Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Lady Cats dropped in 3 sets

Waelder lost in three sets to Flatonia on Tuesday, (25-20, 25-13, 25-8). The Lady Cats have an bye on Friday, then host Brazos on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. game.

Shiner sweeps Louise

The Shiner Lady Comanches hosted Louise on Tuesday, knocking them off in three sets (25-7, 255-20, 25-15). Shiner hosts Weimar on Friday for a 4 p.m. game, then travels to Flatonia on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match.
