VOLLEYBALL: Lady Mustangs drop five-set heartbreaker

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs lost a hard-fought five-set bi-district playoff match to Ingram Tom Moore. They end their season with a 28-12 record.

The Lady Mustangs won the first set, 25-20, but lost the second set, 25-18. A 25-17 victory in the third set had Nixon-Smiley on the cusp of victory, needing just one more win.

However, the Lady Mustangs lost the fourth set by a 25-16 margin and fell in the fifth and decisive final set, 18-16.

Ingram Tom Moore advances to play Poth in the next round.
