The Waelder Independent School District received a perfect score of 100 for an “A” or Superior Achievement rating on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), Superintendent Ron Lilie announced.
“I am happy to report that Waelder ISD has received an ‘A’ rating for Superior Achievement in the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas,” Lilie said. “This is a testament to the careful stewardship of our school board, staff, and administrators. We understand that it is important to use taxpayer funds conservatively and wisely, and this rating is confirmation of that process at Waelder ISD.”
This year marked the 21st year the Texas Education Agency has used the FIRST ratings to determine the financial accountability for school districts throughout the state. Data from this year’s ranking came from the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
