Wallace Lynn Johnson

Wallace Lynn Johnson, 77, of San Antonio, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021. He was born Feb. 5, 1944 in Flatonia, Fayette County, Texas, the son of Andrew Clifton Johnson and Frances Bertling Johnson.

He attended Yoakum High School. He was a cement truck driver and worked with CX Company which later became Alamo Cement Company in San Antonio. He retired after 20 years of dedicated service.

He was very athletic and excelled in football and track while in high school. He was a huge sports fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Astros. He enjoyed playing Bingo and loved classic country music. Most of all he treasured time spent with his loving family.

He is survived by his daughters: Kristin Marie Moras and husband, David, of San Antonio, and Heather Leanne Laird and husband, Otis V. “Trey” Laird III, of Katy; grandchildren: Ezra Isaac Moras, Ethan James Moras and Eleanor Grace Moras, all of San Antonio, Otis V. “Cort” Laird IV of Georgetown, Keelie Marie Laird of Lubbock, and Kenzie Hope Laird of Dallas; sister: Della Johnson Hearn and husband, Jimmy, of Flatonia; and brother: John Everett Johnson and wife, Angela, of New Braunfels. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ray Johnson and Floyd Johnson; sisters: Sadie Mae Denman, Dora Vhadoes, Jo Ann Kuntschik, and Doris Johnson.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Denton Creek Cemetery with Reverend Charlie Johnson officiating.
