Widespread rain is expected across most of South-Central Texas tonight

Posted

Showers and thunderstorms will develop across the area tonight with clearing expected Wednesday morning from west to east. It will likely rain for several hours which will lead to rainfall totals in the 1-1.5 inch range with isolated higher amounts. Highest rainfall totals will occur along and east of the I-35 corridor.

This may lead to localized minor flooding of the normal low-lying areas. However, flash flooding is not expected as the intensity of rain should not cause significant flooding with the dry soils in place.
