William (Bill) Charlie Jurek

William (Bill) Charlie Jurek, 96, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, on Sunday, May 29, 2022. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Melba Jo Jurek, parents Joseph and Mary Jurek, brother Frank Jurek, and sister Della Baker. He is survived by his children, Laura Jurek Allman, Diana Jurek Warman and spouse Roger, William Charlie Jurek, Jr., grandchildren, Crystal Warman Dominy, Curtis Dane Warman, Christopher George Allman and spouse Charity, Roger Chad Warman, and Andy Glen Allman and spouse Abby, great grandchildren, Cutter Dominy, Lane Allman Bruring, Jocelyn Warman, Coraline Warman, and Charlee Warman. He is also survived by sisters Evelyn Malatek and Dorothy Bazar, and brother James Jurek.

Bill took early retirement from Dresser Industries in 1986 as manager of manufacturing and engineering, after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Society of Manufacturing and Engineering. He was a member of United Evangelical Lutheran Dr. Martin Luther Church in Shiner, TX where he resided with his wife for many years.

Bill honorably served in the armed forces as a Sergeant in the 9th Corps of World War II in the South Pacific and Japan.

During retirement, Bill enjoyed many happy and blessed years traveling throughout the country with his wife and friends. While not traveling, they enjoyed many nights playing cards and dominos with those friends and family members. The highlight of his life was his children and grandchildren, which he loved dearly. May he now rest in peace.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 3, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7 pm in Shiner Funeral Home. Funeral. Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, June 4, 2022, in Shiner Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Heinold officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiner City Cemetery.
