Wilson Benjamin Alexander

Born on March 9, 1935 in Luling, to Wilson F. and Lela Mae (Daniels) Alexander, Ben grew up in around Luling. In 1953, Ben married Ruby Jean White and they recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.

Over his lifetime, Ben was involved in many businesses, projects, and activities. He is best known for Alexander Tank Co., a company he and Ruby owned from 1967 until they retired in 2014. The company employed hundreds of people over the 47 years, including family members and long-term employees they considered family.

Ben is survived by his wife: Ruby; children: Charlotte Hellums, Del Norte, CO, Judy (Eddie) Callender, Gonzales, Benjamin F (Dianna) Alexander, Luling, and Patricia Waldrop, Luling; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; sisters: Evelyn Schulle, Luling, and Dorothy Westbrook Gonzales; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
