Winterfest Main Street Business Christmas Decorating Contest returns

All businesses in the footprint of the Gonzales Main Street District are eligible and encouraged to take part in the 2024 Winterfest Business Christmas Decorating Contest this year, so get ready to spread some holiday cheer and showcase the magic of the Main Street District.

This is your chance to show off your business's unique personality, helping to make our community a one-of-a-kind destination this holiday season. Best of all — it's completely free to participate! 

Submit your application by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, to be included in the contest. Your 12-foot display (window, storefront, sidewalk, etc.) must be fully decorated and lit by Monday, Dec. 2. Displays should be visible to the public (either from outside or with approval for inside displays). Family-friendly designs are a must — let's keep it festive and fun for all ages! Be creative: incorporate this year's enchanting theme, "An Enchanted Christmas," and let your imagination run wild!

Judging will take place the evening of Monday, Dec. 2, so make sure your lights are on from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Judging criteria includes Presentation, Workmanship, Originality and Use of Lights.

First, second, and third-place winners will receive award certificates, recognition in the Gonzales Inquirer and shoutouts on various social media platforms.

Winners will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Make your storefront the talk of the town this holiday season and help create a magical atmosphere for locals and visitors alike!
