WISD Board seeking candidates to fill vacancy

During the March Regular Meeting held Monday, March 22, Waelder Independent School District School Board trustees opted to fill a seat which would be left vacant in the May 1 election by appointment.
Trustees had the option of calling for a special election to fill the upcoming vacancy or fill by appointment.
Individuals interested in being considered for an appointment to the at-large seat must fill out an application for the position and have the application in the Central Office no later than Friday, April 16, 2021. applications must be received by this date, not just postmarked.
The board will review the applications and make an appointment at the regular school board meeting May 10, 2021. Applications are avalable on the district's website, as well as for download from the Inquirer.
