Annual Chamber awards banquet to be held Feb. 22

The Gonzales Chamber Excellence Gala & Awards Ceremony 2024 will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at JB Wells Expo Center, 2301 County Road 197, Gonzales.

This event will feature an array of silent and live auction items, dinner service, live music and an opportunity to socialize with others in attendance.

It will also be an opportunity to recognize the recipients of the prestigious David B. Walshak Lifetime Achievement Award and the Community Service Award.

The David B. Walshak Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a person who has proved worthy of distinction in the community. This Lifetime Achievement Award is appropriately named after a man who gave of himself unselfishly to his family, friends, church, and community.

The Community Service Award is an annual award given to an individual, business, or organization for meritorious service in one or more of the categories below:

• Historic Preservation

• Promotion of the Arts

• Education

• Commerce/Industry

• Youth Motivation

• Volunteer Work

While gold table have been sold out, there are a few silver tables remaining (seating 10 people) for $550 and includes reserved seating and highlights on social media as well. Meanwhile, individual tickets are $50 each for members, while non-member tickets are $65 per person
