Apaches split games on the road, ready for home tournament

The Gonzales Apaches traveled to Goliad for a two-day tournament, winning one game and losing three during the process.

The Apaches opened with a close 48-46 loss against Karnes City. They then took down the Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors 43-41 before losing to the Stockdale Brahmas 55-46. Gonzales finished the tournament with a 57-38 loss to the Palacios Sharks.

The Apaches host South San Antonio tonight at 6:30 p.m. before hosting a tournament this upcoming weekend. The 2017 Gonzales Runnin’ Apache Winter Invitational will host 15 teams split into five pools of three. Teams scheduled for the include:

Teams will have pool play on Thursday, Dec. 14 and Friday, Dec. 15 before bracket play on Saturday, Dec. 16. Teams are seeded based on record, point spread, then points allowed.
