Delia Riojas Zamora

Delia Riojas Zamora, 64, of Smiley, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 20 at Windsor Nursing & Rehab in Seguin, Texas.

Funeral services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas, and were held on Monday, July 24 at 10 a.m. at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Frankie Riojas officiating. Burial will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A private family visitation was held on Friday, July 21 at Buffington Funeral Home.

Delia was born on April 28, 1953 in Cost, Texas. She was the daughter of Inosencio and Virginia (Morales) Riojas. Delia liked to sing and dance. She liked to pass time by coloring. Delia also read her Bible daily.

Delia is survived by one son; Frankie Riojas and his wife, Margarita of Beeville, Texas, two daughters; Rebecca Riojas Mejia and her husband, Robert of Smiley, Texas, Julie Zamora of Shiner, Texas, two brothers; Frank Riojas of Yoakum, Texas, Fabian Riojas of Gonzales, Texas, six sisters; Hilaria Zamora and her husband, Aurelio of Gonzales, Texas, Hope Ceja and her husband, Nacho of Madera, California, Rafeala Sepulveda of Gonzales, Texas, Janie Rodriguez and her husband, Joe of Gonzales, Texas, Rosemary Almaguer of Yoakum, Texas, Anna Marie Cantu and her husband, Roger of Gonzales, Texas, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Inosencio and Virginia Riojas, four brothers; Ben Riojas, Alfred Riojas, Daviv Riojas, Frank Riojas, two sisters; Anita Almaguer, and Sandra Flores.
