Elia Carmen Molina

Elia Carmen Molina, 70, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Elia was born January 7, 1953 in Gonzales, Texas to Cosme and Blasa Camarillo Molina. She was a member of Two Rivers Church in Gonzales. Elia was an excellent seamstress by trade and had a passion for creativity. She was a dedicated and hard-working single parent. She made sure her family was taken care of and worked until she physically had nothing left. 

Elia lived in Gonzales her entire life. She loved to sing and dance with a joyful heart. She had a loud personality and captivating smile. Elia was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and her favorite color was Royal Blue. She was an excellent cook and put her cooking talents on full display every holiday. Her home was always tidy with a place for everything and everything in its place. Elia loved her family deeply, most notably her grandchildren, and she cherished family gatherings reveling in the abundance of love.

Elia was a Christian. She was baptized at Two Rivers Church where her belief in Jesus Christ was exalted beyond measure. She faithfully read scriptures and learned Psalm 91 by memory and declared the psalmist truly spoke to her. Psalm 91:2 “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Elia is survived by her adoring family; her daughters Andrea Molina and Angela Molina-Lopez, sons, Daniel Molina, Angel Paul Molina and her adopted grandson Devion Molina. Her sisters Elisa Rodriguez, Estella Molina, brothers Enrique Molina, Jose Molina, Cosme Molina, Jr, Elias Molina and Hector Molina.

Her 12 grandchildren, Krista Marie Lopez, Erick Michael Lopez, Steven Anthony Lopez, Jayla Danielle Garcia, Devion Isaiah Molina, Jay Darius Molina, Oscar Miguel Gonzales, Annaleah Maria Gonzales, Meray Azayla Molina, Dezarae Lynn Molina, Daniel Leonard Molina, Jr.. As well as her 4 great grandchildren Analiizya Marie Vargas, Jay Vargas, Lizabella Blasa Vargas, La’veah  Alizae Hernandez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Erlinda Molina and Esperanza Garcia, and her brother Esteban Molina.
