GISD election to be cancelled

Terms will expire in May for two places on the board of trustees for Gonzales Independent School District. And since no candidates filed to face the incumbents last week, the election will be cancelled.

District 1 Trustee Gloria Torres and District 2 Trustee Justin Schwausch both filed for re-election but were unopposed in their bids for a new term. The election will thus be cancelled at the next meeting of the GISD board of trustees on March 7.
