Harvey Gene Filla, 71, of Baytown, passed away Friday, April 21 in Onalaska, Texas. He was born June 3, 1945 in Halletsville, Texas to his late parents, Adolph “Bob” Filla and Adela Rother Filla.

Harvey was a longtime resident of Baytown, a U.S. Army veteran and retired from GTE after many years of service. He loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Baytown Senior Center. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louticia “Tish” Filla and a sister, Alma Ruth Filla.

Survivors include his sons, Robert Filla and David Filla; grandchildren, Mason, Dylan, Reed, Noah, Raegan and Jackson; brothers, Eddie Filla and his wife Brenda and Marvin Filla and his wife Katherine; sister, Mildred Nagelmueller and her husband Charles and numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

Pallbearers are Mason Filla, Mark Nagelmueller, Dylan Filla, Reed Filla, Chad Filla and Stephen Filla. 

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 at Navarre Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 27, at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton.
