Linda M. Wilson

Minister Linda M. Wilson was born November 11, 1951, to Reginald E. Williams and Roysteen Hansford Williams.  She was the third child born to this union. She was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2022.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Henson Chapel United Methodist Church of Gonzales, Texas for 20 years.  She was an assistant pastor for three years and pastor for one year. She served as president of the usher board for may years, president of the new millennium Lions Club of Waelder, Texas. Secretary of the African American Scholarship Committee for 11 years and assistant secretary of Edward’s Alumni Association for several years.

She attended Edward High School and also attended McLennan College of Nursing where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse.  Linda worked as the Director of Nursing for many years at the Care Inn Nursing Home, Gonzales, Texas. She later worked at the Towers Nursing Home in Smithville, Texas as there M.D.S. Coordinator where she retired after 10 years.

Minister Linda loved life and traveled with her husband Eugene all around the world, on trips and cruises. Linda enjoyed riding in Hot Air Balloons.  A Life well lived.

She is preceding in death by her parents; Reginald Williams and Roysteen, Daughter, Vanessa O’Neal, brother, Reginal E. Williams, Jr. and sister, Brenda Cray.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Eugene Wilson, Sr., one son, Willard R. O’Neal, Grandson; Dylan O’Neal. Siblings; Billy R. Williams (Bobbie), Evel Williams (Juanita), Joycesteen Williams and Minister Lois Williams Wilson (Elroy Wilson, Sr.). Many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her Henson Chapel UMC family.

Viewing will be held on Friday, April 22 from 9:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. and the Services will be held at 11 a.m. at the Methodist Church on 426 St. Paul.
