Loraine McLerran

Loraine McLerran, 94, joined her heavenly family January 27, 2024.

She was born October 26, 1929, in Beaumont to the late Henry and Alphra (Myers) Burns.

Loraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was married to Lt Cdr. Virgil Ray McLerran until his passing in 1966. She owned a successful Assisted Living Facility in El Paso, Texas. She moved to Yoakum to help her daughter, Dr. Saundra Anderson raise her two daughters, Kendra, and Kimberly Anderson. She then helped raise her great-grandson, Kendon Briar Christian here in Yoakum. She celebrated this past Christmas with 5 generations of family enjoying all their love and laughter.

Survivors are her daughter, Dr. Saundra Anderson and husband Stacy Mueller of Yoakum; sons, Danny McLerran and wife Suzanne of Galveston and Kim McLerran and wife Kelly of Kingwood, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Hope Marie McLerran Moore; 3 sisters, Ruth, Katherine, and Doris; 2 brothers, Nicky and Junior.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Yoakum Volunteer Fire Department P.O. Box 101, Yoakum, Texas 77995 or drop off at the fire station.
