Man jailed on multiple charges of indecency, sexual assault

GONZALES — David Holt, 59 of Gonzales, was indicted by a grand jury on Dec. 2 for sexual assault of a child.
Holt, 59, of Gonzales, faces nine charges of indecency with a child by contact, seven counts of sexual assault and three counts of aggravated sexual assault.
The charges stem from a victim outcry that occurred on Aug. 12 by a woman who said that Holt had sexually assaulted her in the past.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Holt, and the Texas Highway Patrol arrested him on Sept. 22 in Chambers County. He was transported to Gonzales County Jail on Sept. 29
Holt was released on Oct. 2 after making bond on the charges, which totaled $40,000.
