Mary Lou Norton

Mary Lou Norton, 90, of Leesville, passed away Wednesday, May 31. She was born May 13, 1927 in Annarose, Texas, the daughter of Henry and Alice Davidson Reeves.

She was a graduate of George West High School. She and her sister Ruby ran an oilfield equipment hot shot service in the 1980’s. Later she was very active with her Avon sales. She enjoyed music and going dancing and spending time with her many girlfriends.

She is survived by her son Henry Wallace Norton and wife Louann of Leesville; sisters: Alice Faye Clark of Bay City and Ruby Lewis of Alice; brother: Tom Reeves and wife Maddie of Alice; grandchildren: Kody Lee DuBose and husband Ronnie of Leesville, Natalie Ann Land and husband Gordon of Seguin and Kari Lynn Gothard and husband Shane of San Angelo; great-grandchildren: Rebecca Bender, Cole Harris, Tyler Wright, Jacob Wright, Darla Campbell, Kale DuBose, Shelby Gothard, Travis Land, Morgan Land, Katherine Land, Dustin DuBose and Sterling DuBose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim Reeves and sister-in-law Jerry Reeves.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 7 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at noon Wednesday, June 7 at the Belmont Cemetery. Arrangements under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home 906 St. Paul, Gonzales.
