The Gonzales Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture recently added two new staff members at the Chamber office, 304 Saint Louis St.

Laurie Cook is the new operations coordinator for the Chamber. Laurie spent many years as a dedicated stay-at-home mom and brings a warm and hospitable personality to the Chamber team. Her eagerness to learn and contribute is evident, aligning seamlessly with the organiation’s team culture. Laurie's years as a stay-at-home mom showcase her dedication and commitment to creating a nurturing environment, qualities that will undoubtedly enhance our team dynamics.

Laurie is enthusiastic about contributing her skills to enhance operational efficiency and overall team success.

Meanwhile, Regan Wilkerson is the new tourism coordinator for the Chamber. In addition to Laurie, Regan officially joined the team on Oct. 2, and hit the ground running, helping to get ready for Come and Take It Celebration. She was able to do this seamlessly, being no stranger to Gonzales or this festival.

As a hometown girl, Regan worked at the Chamber as a student technician during high school and later as an intern during college. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences as well as earning certification in Tourism Management. She has worked most recently as a social media content and marketing specialist, and her skills in business literature creation, customer service, networking, content creation, and tourism itself will be a great asset to the Chamber as well as the Gonzales community.

Regan and 1-year-old son Grayson recently relocated to Gonzales from Hinesville, Georgia. Her husband, Trent, will be joining them after he concludes his service in the U.S. military in 2024.

The Chamber is confident that Laurie and Regan will play pivotal roles in the continued success and growth of the team and organization.

The Gonzales Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture is still looking to hire an Executive Director responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the operational activities of the Chamber. The Executive Director will represent the Chamber with the membership, tourists, public agencies and officials, local organizations, and the public.
