Roland Arrellano

Roland Arrellano was born in Gonzales, Texas on May 6,1956 to Joe B. Arrellano and Rosa Arrellano. He passed away Thursday, October 22 at 4 p.m. at the Methodist Texan Hospital in San Antonio.

He was 59 years old.

Roland attended school here in Gonzales as a young child, then his parents moved to Gregory and he attended school there also as a young child. As a teen he worked at a grocery store call Dan's Drive Inn.

Roland was a member of the Mexican Baptist Church and Memorial Heights. As a young man he returned to Gonzales and was employed at Tiger Tote.

Roland was a talented person. He wrote songs, gave them to his friends and they recorded them and he never heard from them.

Roland is survived by two brothers Manuel Lopez (Eva) of Gonzales and Joe Arrellano of Nebraska, three sisters; Sylvia Perez of Nebraska, Elida

Santellano of Winters, Texas, Lupe Silva (Felipe) Gonzales, his parents, grandparents, uncles, aunt, cousins, nephews, other family and friends.

A memorial service will be at Temple Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jose Campos. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
