Warren Dell Green

Warren Dell Green was born in Gonzales, Texas on July 31, 1939, to the proud parents of Warren Wesley Green and Mary Deloris Polk.  He graduated from Edwards High School in Gonzales, Texas.

Warren Greens’ life journey includes graduating from Texas Prairie View A&M College where he received a Bachelor of Education Degree.  He taught High School in Refugio, Texas.  Following, he then served 30 years honorably in the U. S. Army.  He achieved the rank of Commander Sergeant Major. Honors received were Joint Service Commendation Medal. 1st olc//Army Commendation Medal. 3rd awd//Army Achievement medal//Good Conduct Medal 10th awd//National Defense Service Medal w/Bronze Star//NCO Professional Development Ribbon W/Num 4//Army Service Ribbon//Overseas Service Ribbon w/num.  Upon retirement of service his classification was Commander Sergeant Major.

After completing military service, he was employed as a high School Science Teacher in the El Paso, Texas school district until he retired.  He continued to serve as a high school science teacher in the Del Valle School District.  Warren was very proud of his service to his country and as a teacher impacting many students with his passion for science and electronics.  His hobbies included repairing electronic antique radios and drawing.  He was an exceptional artist and cartoonist.  He was a faithful member of Henson United Methodist Church, and served in many capacities within the church to include treasurer and he took great pride in starting off the morning service by ringing the bell.

Preceding him in death are his loving parents Mary Deloris Green and Warren Wesley Green, sisters; Nola Mae Franks, Patricia Ann Breed and Delores Faye Smith and brother Topsey Rayvon Green.

He leaves to cherish his memories two loving and devoted daughters, Priscilla Rowena Green, Phyllis Rosalind Rydolph; grandchildren-Kennard Rydolph (Trey) and Joshua Rydolph and sister Dr. Dorothy White-Cato, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
