Inez loved to have vegetable and flower gardens, cook, bake bread, sew, crochet, travel and draw.  An art college from San Antonio even sent a representative to her home to try to persuade her to go to their college. She loved getting together with family and friends and loved being the counselor for the youth group at her church, Nixon Assembly of God Church of which she became a faithful member in 1950.  She also taught Sunday School for many years, was Sunday School Superintendent and filled the pulpit for the pastor when needed. She loved reading the Bible and read it through many times.
