Brothers Library reading program opens ‘Oceans of Possibilities’

The Robert Lee Brothers, Jr. Memorial Library will be starting the summer reading program, “Oceans of Possibilities,” on May 31 through July 8, 2022 for children ages 3 years old through sixth grade.

Reading not only opens new worlds, but “oceans of possibilities” for young readers (and older readers alike). Research shows that early readers are more likely to become life long readers, as well as having a higher level of success in future educational endeavors.

Program participants will need to read 12 books by July 8 to complete the six-week program and after completion all the good readers can come by the library anytime beginning Monday, July 11 to pick up their goodie bag and certificate of completing the program.
