Chow down at the Bicentennial Bites Birthday Bash 4B Fundraiser!

On Saturday, Aug. 30 — there’s going to be a food throwdown of epic proportions that the only thing missing will be Bobby Flay!

The Gonzales Chamber of Commerce will host the Bicentennial Bites Birthday Bash — 4B Fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. featuring great food and live tunes from Zach Rodriguez from Off The Railz at the Chamber building, 304 Saint Louis St., Gonzales.

The event will celebrate Gonzales’ 200^th birthday with 15 two-person teams competing for gastronomic greatness by cooking their signature dishes. 

Entries will be prepared off site prior to the start of the event, during which the teams will provide samples for 200 guests. There will be awards for grand champion, runner up and last place. There will also be a showmanship award for best table décor.

There is also a drawing for a gas grill with tickets available at the Chamber for $5 each and five for $20 as well as a silent auction.

Individual tickets are $40 each to attend or two tickets for $75, while corporate tables are $500 each. Admission includes team samplings to judge, other finger foods, non-alcoholic beveragez (sodas and water). Bring your own beer.
