Deck the House Christmas Light Contest in Gonzales

Perhaps you light up your house like Clark Griswold in “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” or you have a funny prop like the leg lamp in “A Christmas Story.” Or maybe you’re a Christmas decorating wizard like Buddy in “Elf.”

It’s your time to shine in the Deck the House Christmas Light Contest, presented in partnership with the Gonzales Spade and Trowel Garden Club and the Gonzales Historic Homes Association.

Enter your business or home by calling the Chamber at 830-672-6532 and giving them your address. Decorate your address by Sunday, Dec. 1 and then let those lights shine bright with your holiday spirit. There is no entry fee.

Winners will be announced on Facebook on Thursday, Dec. 5. Categories include Best Traditional, Most Colorful, Best Theme, Brightest Business and Yard of the Month.
