Edwards Association, COPE team up for autism event

The Edwards Association and COPE (Community Outreach People Empowerment, powered by the Community Health Centers of South Central Texas Inc.) will team up for Autism Awareness Month.

Together, they will co-host “Celebrating Autism/A Community Event” on Saturday, April 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Edwards Center campus at the corner of Kleine and Fly streets in Gonzales.

There will be Lego building, arts and crafts, “come and plant it,” jewelry beading, coloring, games, activities and more for kids on the autism spectrum. This is a free event.

Sponsors for this event include COPE, CHCSCT, Edwards Association, Rotary Club of Gonzales, Gonzales Healthcare Systems, COPE Autism Committee, Boy Scouts of America, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Bluebonnet Trails Community Services and the Texas Department of Human Services.
