Sales tax allocations for all four Gonzales County cities were up again this month, according to Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar’s office.

Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for May, 4.3 percent more than in May 2022.

These allocations are based on sales made in March by businesses that report tax monthly and sales made in January, February and March by quarterly filers.

For the month of May 2023, Gonzales County municipalities received a combined $333,596.78 in sales tax allocations, up $14,54157 or nearly 4.56 percent more than the $319,055.21 received during May 2022.
