Gonzales ISD names 2025 Teachers of the Year

Five Gonzales ISD teachers were honored as 2025 GISD Teachers of the Year on Monday, March 3.

“We are thrilled to announce our 2025 Gonzales ISD Teachers of the Year!” the district said in a statement. “These outstanding educators exemplify dedication, passion, and a commitment to ‘Growing Greatness’ in every student.

“Each of these incredible teachers inspires and empowers our Apaches every day! Thank you for your unwavering dedication to education and the future of our students.”

Winners for 2025 include:

• Shannon Sample – Gonzales Primary Academy

• Janica Arellano – Gonzales Elementary

• Carlos Gutierrez Toro – Gonzales North Avenue

• Coach Keith Cubit – Gonzales Junior High

• Robert "Wayne" Low – Gonzales High School
