Gonzales Police Arrest Suspect After Fatal Shooting on St. Vincent Street

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, at approximately 5:45am, Officers responded to the 500 block of St. Vincent Street in reference to a shots fired call. When Officers arrived on location, they observed two victims with multiple gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as 43-year-old Charles Kalisek and 40-year-old Manuel Magallanes. Despite life saving measures, Charles Kalisek succumbed to his injuries on scene and Manuel Magallanes was airlifted to San Antonio Military Medical Center. Through further investigation the suspect was identified as 18-year-old Miguel Vasquez. Miguel was later placed under arrest for murder and aggravated assault with deadly weapon. Miguel was transported and released to the Gonzales County Jail. This is still an ongoing joint investigation between the Gonzales Police Department, Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Rangers.
