Lady Apaches honored for district play

GONZALES — Despite a tough season for the Gonzales Lady Apaches softball team, several players were honorably named to the all-District 26-4A teams.
On the first team were Jaycee Burton as an outfielder and Kristeny Magallanes as catcher. Named to the second team were shortstop Morgan Mason, second baseman Sheridan Tate, designated hitter Karina Vara and outfielder Margaret Gonzales.
Tori Lester, Gretchen Singleton, Skylea Tatsch, Kendra Williams and Shania Lloyd were all honorably mentioned.
