Lady Brahmas sweep Lady Mustangs in district opener

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs traveled to Stockdale for a U.S. 87 showdown against the Lady Brahmas Friday, Sept. 27.

The Lady Mustangs fell to the Lady Brahmas in a three-set sweep (5-25, 16-25, 2-25) and dropped to 0-1 in district play.

Nixon-Smiley returned home to hosted the district home opener against the Luling Lady Eagles Tuesday, Oct. 1.

The Lady Mustangs will go on the road Friday, Oct. 4 to take on the Poth Lady Pirates in the second district match of the season.

Nixon-Smiley will host the Karnes City Lady Badgers Tuesday, Oct. 8 for the third district match and second at home.

The Karnes City match starts at 7 p.m.
