The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs traveled to Luling for a district volleyball match against the Lady Eagles Friday, Oct. 18.
The Lady Mustangs fell to the Lady Eagles in five sets (21-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-23, 16-18).
Nixon-Smiley rallied in sets three and four; and forced the match into five sets.
The Lady Mustangs would lose the fifth set in extra points, 18-16, to the Lady Eagles.
Nixon-Smiley drops to 0-7 in district for its 2024 season.
The Lady Mustangs traveled to Karnes City Tuesday, Oct. 22 for the final match against the Lady Badgers.
Nixon-Smiley has two more games left in the season against Stockdale (Friday, Oct. 25) and at Goliad (Tuesday, Oct. 29).
The Stockdale game kicks off at 6 p.m.
