Lottie Frances O’Neal, 86, of Gonzales, went to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Lottie was born May 6, 1938 in Nixon, Texas to Jess and Annie Bell Ivey Gordon. Lottie was a member of the Pilgrim Presbyterian Church.

Lottie had a loving and entertaining personality. She was a loving mother and grandmother, being certain to stay involved in the lives of her family. She relished family gatherings where she could share funny and fascinating stories with her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for loved ones. Lottie had a green thumb like no other, it has been said, time and again, that she could put a dead stick in the ground and bring it back to life. Tending to her plants brought her comfort and peace. If the opportunity presented itself, Lottie would revel wetting the line hanging from her cane pole while fishing. She loved hats and caps of all shapes and sizes, whether it was part of her fashionista sense of dress or just a cap on the fly, she typically had something on her head.

Lottie loved people and loved being a part of their lives. She loved to people watch and when she opened “Lottie’s” a popular local tavern, she had the opportunity to meet with folks from all walks of life. Oh, there are stories she could tell of her experiences, but she didn’t, those stories stayed with her. Amen.

Lottie left behind a passionately loving family, daughters, Jeanette O’Neal Wright (Jeff Brown), Laura Ann O’Neal Snocker (Leonard), and Janice Ann O’Neal Walleck, grandchildren,  Kristin Schuette (Damian), Ashley Spring (Kyle), Collyn Whiddon (Becky), Kristen Walleck Solis (Bryan), Cody Walleck (Amanda), Chris Snocker, Jennifer Bailey (Jody), great-grandchildren, K’Leigh Pish (Brandon), Blane Schuette, Dustin Schuette, Becklyn Spring, Bellami Spring, Dory Gonzales, Angelina Rosas, Kenzley Walleck, Brayden Solis, Owen and Brand Lane, and a forthcoming great-great granddaughter Lottie was so anxious to hold, Brielle Carrizales, sister-in-law, Jimmie Gordon and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Cecil, Ansel, Merlin, Nathan “Boot”, Bert and infant brothers Ronald and Donald Gordon, sisters, Jessie Faye Moore, Maggie Fellers, Ollie Mae Koening and her son-in-law, Tommy Walleck, Jr.
