Main Street hosts Cinco de Mayo celebration

Gonzales Main Street will present a Cinco de Mayo celebration Saturday, May 6, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Texas Heroes Square in Gonzales. Admission to this family friendly event is free.

There will be music, food and different vendors available to shop, plus kids’ activities including a bounce house, petting zoo and balloon animals. For the adults, the 5D Travelin’ tavern will be theree to quench your thirst. There will also be salsa and margarita contests.

DJ Buddy will start off the entertainment at 5 p.m., followed at 6 p.m. by Ballet Folklorico of Texas. Los Bonbones take the stage at 7 p.m., followed by the conjunto group The Delta Boyz at 7:30 p.m. Closing out the night will be Magnifico Siete at 10 p.m.
