Victoria College Gonzales Center will again offer a truck driving class beginning in January 2025 with a new instructor.
Rocky Pullin will be teaching the class that meets Mondays and Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Jan. 27, 2025, at the center. Pullin has more than 15 years of truck driving and industrial maintenance experience, including hauling hazardous materials while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
He has a teaching background from Houston Community College, focusing on driving skills, safety practices, and teamwork. Pullin’s expertise is in pre-trip inspections, truck maintenance, and safe driving practices. He also has a passion for preparing students with the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to thrive in the trucking industry.
The truck driving course at Victoria College is a comprehensive 200-contact-hour training program designed to prepare students for entry-level trucking positions. The course includes classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, highway driving, and the use of a top-of-the-line simulator. Graduates earn a Class A CDL upon successful completion. The minimum age to enroll is 18. Tuition is $4,750, with financial assistance options available.
