Westhoff ISD to add new high school component

Westhoff ISD, which currently serves students in grades K-8, will be adding a new high school component called the Westhoff Academy for College and Careers.

The new high school will begin in the 2025-26 school year with the addition of a ninth-grade class with new grades (10, 11, 12) added in successive years. The mission for Westhoff Elementary and Westhoff Middle School remains focused on “Where Kids Come First,” but not with the addition of the Westhoff Academy for College and Careers, the district will be “Rooted in Tradition, Focused on the Future.” The district was rated an A by the TEA on accountability ratings released for 2023.

The new high school will be accepting students from Meyersville ISD or Nursery ISD who seek educational opportunities outside their districts in grade levels currently unavailable. They will also welcome in transfers from surrounding school districts, including Nixon-Smiley, Cuero ISD,  Yorktown ISD, Yoakum ISD and Nordheim ISD.
