William B. Miller, 85, of Gonzales, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. William was born April 28, 1941, in Gonzales to Helene R. Piwetz Keeton. William attended school in Gonzales and graduated with the Class of 1959 from GHS. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and spent much of his working life employed by ALCOA in Rockdale. After retiring, William eventually returned to Gonzales in 2001.
A quiet and private man, William generally kept to himself, but those who knew him understood his good heart and well-intentioned nature. He found satisfaction in the simple pleasures of life and took great pride in keeping his yard neat and well maintained. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, building and enjoying model trains, and had a particular fondness for driving a new Ford pickup every couple of years. These familiar interests brought him enjoyment and reflected the things he appreciated most.
William will be remembered by his family for his quiet presence, goodhearted nature, and the simple routines that made up his life. He leaves behind loved ones who will cherish his memory.
William is survived by his loving family, sister, Carla Ann Ham (Jimmy), and his son, Wesley Miller (Julie), grandchildren, Evan, Brenden and Emma Miller. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helene R. Keeton; his daughter, Diana Leigh Miller; and his son, David Miller.
