Lady Mustangs win a walk-off over Lady Eagles

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs hosted the Luling Lady Eagles Thursday, March 28 for the final match of the first half of district play.

The Lady Mustangs clinched their third district win with a 11-10 walk-off victory over the Lady Eagles and put themselves in a three-way tie for first place in District 26-3A.

The match was tight through all seven innings with both teams recording 10 hits, double digit runs, and scoring in five of the seven innings played.

Nixon-Smiley will get back on the softball field for the second half of district with a home match against Randolph Friday, April 5.
