GONZALES — The Gonzales County Youth Football Apache Junior Team closed out a dominant season with a CYFL Super Bowl championship, earning back-to-back titles after several hard-fought weeks of playoff action.

The Apaches finished the year 12–2, showcasing consistency, grit and steady improvement from opening week to championship Saturday. Head coach Ryan Arellano said the group’s effort defined their success.

“I was impressed and proud of the boys’ hard work all season and the effort they put in,” Arrellano said. “They showed up, pushed each other and earned everything they accomplished.”

Gonzales County Youth Football also saw success at the freshman level, with the Apache CYFL Freshman Team advancing to the Super Bowl as well. Though they came up short in the title game, the young squad was praised for its determination, heart and steady growth throughout the season.

Together, both teams delivered a strong showing for Gonzales County — and represent a bright future for Gonzales athletics as these young players work their way toward becoming high school Apaches in the years ahead.
