Nixon-Smiley senior Cash Davis capped off his high school football career with a strong performance in the San Antonio All-Star Game, representing Team Blue in a hard-fought 26–18 victory.
Wearing jersey No. 69, Davis showcased his versatility along the offensive line, taking snaps at center, left guard, and right guard throughout the game. His ability to seamlessly move across multiple positions provided stability and physicality up front, helping Team Blue control the line of scrimmage against a talented opponent.
The All-Star appearance marked another milestone for Davis, who has been a key contributor for the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs during his high school career. Known for his toughness, football IQ, and team-first mentality, Davis earned the opportunity to compete alongside some of the top graduating players from the region.
“Cash is the kind of young man every coach wants in their program,” said Coach Paul Kirby, Nixon-Smiley Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. “He’s dependable, physical, and selfless. His ability to play center and guard at a high level speaks volumes about his work ethic and football IQ. We’re proud of how he represented Nixon-Smiley on that stage.” Coach Kirby played in this All-Star game 20 years ago, in January of 2006, as a center representing Theodore Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, so it was special for him to have a lineman chosen for this game.
Following his early December graduation from Nixon-Smiley, Davis is set to take the next step in his football journey. He will enroll at Delaware Valley University, where he will begin coursework immediately and participate in spring football, giving him an early start at the collegiate level.
Davis’s All-Star performance and early transition to college football reflect both his dedication and readiness for the next chapter, as he continues to represent Nixon-Smiley with pride on and off the field.
